Thankfully, the recent cruise situation was resolved without any serious injuries to the passengers. But if you are looking for a defining transcendental experience, you will never find it with things like that.
I know this because I took a couple of transatlantic cruises a few years ago.
You can however find it by visiting a Catholic tabernacle for a few minutes of quiet adoration.
And you could come to realize that the price of the cruise would be better spent on something — or someone — else.
