DETROIT — The Chicago White Sox will attempt to halt their losing streak at eight games Satuday night with Paul Konerko returning to first base.
Konerko will start at first base for the first time since June 23 when the Sox face Detroit and 15-game winner Max Scherzer.
Konerko missed most of four weeks because of lower back tightness and has been relegated to designated hitter duty since returning to the Sox’s lineup on July 22.
Adam Dunn will handle the DH role.
