Diamondbacks 5, Reds 2: Patrick Corbin tossed his second career complete game and Paul Goldschmidt hit a grand slam as visiting Arizona evened the series with Cincinnati.

Martin Prado added a solo home run and scored twice for the Diamondbacks, who pulled within five games of the Reds in the race for the second National League wild card spot. Corbin (13-3) struck out 10 and allowed two runs and six hits without walking a batter to snap a four-start winless streak.

Chris Heisey broke up the shutout with a two-run homer in the eighth inning before Cincinnati dropped three games behind the first-place Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Central.

Reds starter Tony Cingrani (6-3) was perfect through the first 3 1/3 innings before surrendering Pradoâ??s blast. The rookie left-hander then walked Goldschmidt and surrendered a double to Aaron Hill before being lifted with a back strain.

It stayed 1-0 until the eighth, when Arizona loaded the bases on three straight singles off Sam LeCure and Goldschmidt greeted J.J. Hoover by lining a 3-2 fastball into the stands in left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Goldschmidtâ??s blast gave him 31 on the season, tied with Pittsburghâ??s Pedro Alvarez for the NL lead. He also leads the NL with 100 RBIs. â? Hoover had gone 23 straight appearances without allowing a run, tied for the third-longest streak in franchise history. â? Reds 1B Joey Votto went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts and failed to reach base for the first time since July 27.
