On the offensive: Despite a lackluster game, QB Jordan Lynch became the 10th player in FBS history to run for more than 3,000 yards and pass for more than 4,000 with his 83-yard rushing total against Akron.

Getting defensive: Defensive tackle Ken Bishop recorded six tackles, including one for a loss. Defensive ends Joe Windsor and Jason Meehan each sacked Akron QB Kyle Pohl.

The number: 0. The Huskies did not turn the ball over against Akron. It marked the first time since Nov. 23, 2012 at Eastern Michigan that they were turnover-free during a game.

They’re still talking about: The stilted performance of the offense that had been lighting up opponents.

Looking ahead: NIU travels to Central Michigan on Saturday.
