Construction of a South Side train overpass is shutting down outbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway.
Due to work on the the Englewood Flyover, authorities are restricting southbound traffic to a single express lane, and that lane may be closed periodically, according to a press release from the Illinois Department of Transportation. Outbound entrance ramps are closed between 43rd Street and 63rd Street.
The closures will end by 5 a.m., according to the release. Overnight lane closures are the expressway are scheduled to continue through Nov. 5. as construction on the Metra overpass continues.
