On the offensive: With two rushing and one passing touchdown, quarterback Jordan Lynch has been responsible for a school-record 46 touchdowns this season, breaking his own mark of last season. He also broke his own NCAA FBS quarterback record with 1,881 rushing yards this season. Da’Ron Brown, the team’s second-leading receiver, did not dress for the game with a hamstring injury.
Getting defensive: The Huskies gave up 574 total yards, after averaging 411.4 entering Friday night. Dominique Ware recovered a fumble caused by Jimmie Ward in the second quarter.
The number: 134. Passes between interceptions for Lynch. He threw his first pick since Oct. 19 against Central Michigan in the first half and another early in the fourth quarter.
They’re still talking about: NIU’s rare defeat. The loss was the first in 26 games against MAC opponents and ruined its shot at perfect season at 12-1.
Looking ahead: The Huskies await their bowl fate.
