A man and woman were hospitalized after a fire broke out in a home in the South Side’s Brainerd neighborhood and spread to two adjacent homes early this morning, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The fire started about 4 a.m. in a home in the 9000 block of South Marshfield Avenue and spread to the homes on each side of it, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight said.
A man and woman were taken in fair-to-serious condition to Little Company of Mary Hospital, Knight said.
