Katerina’s is a gift to Chicago and to those of us who love music. It’s the first place I think of when I want to hear live jazz and the first item on my list of places to take out-of-town guests.
I was shocked and saddened when I heard that Katerina’s is closing at the end of this month. Its absence will leave a void in the arts community that will be difficult to fill.
I hope that Katerina Carson knows how much joy she has brought to her patrons over the years and how very grateful we are.
