I made a quick pass along Milwaukee Avenue during this afternoon’s Wicker Park Fest.

Street festivals are quintissential Chicago summer: crafts, beer and music along roads normally filled with cars. There’s probably nothing better than sitting in your window above the street and enjoying the scene–for two days a year, anyway.

Sometimes I think “Chicago Flag Street Festival Artist” is one of the fastest growing fields in the city. Not that I’m immune, I have a set of posters featuring those blue bars and red stripes in my house, too.

I loved this woman’s dress and look, disappearing into the background of canvases inside a vendor tent.
