Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

While waiting for Tuesday’s Cubs-Giants game to resume today two days after it was postponed (which is a whole other story), a new storm system moved across the North Side.

After an hour of rain, the clouds began to clear and the grounds crew removed the tarp.

Before the teams retook the field, I looked around the city from the upper deck and saw an interesting fog floating through the city. It made a nice visual beyond the scoreboard and the field but I particularly liked the view facing downtown.

From the press box at the top of Wrigley Field you can get a pretty good view of the Chicago skyline. I used the 400mm and teleconverter I was holding for baseball to shoot each of our big three skycrapers poking through the mist (sorry, Aon, not your angle).

Fog can wreak havoc on the color in photos, so a simple black and white conversion shows our giants rising among the clouds.
