Thank you for running the “New Lenox community rebuilds brothers’ home” article (News, Oct. 5).
How wonderful it is that so many people volunteered their time, money and skills to help a family in such dire need.
This is what being neighborly and part of a small town is about. Yes, there are many outside of the U.S. in need, but we must not forget that charity begins at home.
There are so many people within our community who need our help as well.
