Tornado watches for Will County and other northeast and central Illinois counties, as well as five counties in northwest Indiana that had been scheduled to stay in effect until 10 p.m. has been called off.

Will County, as well as Kankakee, Champaign, LaSalle and other Illinois counties had been under tornado watch. The watch also covered five counties in Indiana including Benton, Newton, Jasper, Porter and Lake, said officials.

No major damage was immediately reported from the storms spawned by the weather system that triggered the watches.

The National Weather Service website said the watch included the cities of Joliet, Champaign, Urbana, Charleston, Danville, Mattoon and Fowler in Illinois, and Gary, Morocco, Rensselaer and Valparaiso in Indiana.
