Kajaunce Morton, 16, was shot and mortally wounded while waiting for his cheeseburger at Alice’s Bar-B-Que on 43rd Street in Bronzeville. His killing marked the second fatal shooting at the restaurant in the last three years. The larger Grand Boulevard community, located in the southern half of Bronzeville, has seen 29 killings over the last four years, Chicago police statistics show.
