Killing off major TV characters is nothing new, but in 2014 more shows bumped off characters fans didn’t expect to lose. Even “Game of Thrones,” which has made a game of death out of its character list, still managed to shock viewers. With so many to choose from, we’ve narrowed it down to 25 of the most surprising, nasty or emotionally impactful TV deaths of the year. By the way, spoiler alerts ahead!
