Recent letter writers have spoken out in favor of the minimum wage. I work in the retail grocery business, and most of the employees make far less than the new minimum wage. What’s going to happen is that as the minimum wage rises, food costs will rise both in grocery stores and fast-food restaurants, and those who work for the minimum wage are not going to be any better off than they were before. Politicians only brought up the minimum wage to stir up voters for the one party in the elections.
