There is a long, long list of the victims of radical Islam. Near the top is Islam itself. A religion of over a billion people is being hijacked in a brutal coup of rabid fundamentalists and jihadist radicals. I have no illusions that a disturbingly large number of the Muslim world agrees with the notion that killing infidels and blasphemers is okay. But that number is still a minority. Following the attacks on Charlie Hebdo we are seeing a flood modern Muslims stepping up through various social media and renouncing the violence. About time many would say but I have to applaud them. Maybe, maybe, maybe this is now the time where we see the majority of the world’s Muslims take a courageous stand against the dark tide that threatens to engulf their world before it’s too late.
