Meet and greet, and registration: Parents of children who will be entering kindergarten at Community Consolidated School District 46 next year, as well as the incoming kindergartner, are invited to Kindergarten Meet and Greet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 for Meadowview, 291 Lexington Lane, Grayslake; Park Campus, 400 W. Townline Road, Round Lake; Prairieview. 103 E. Belvidere Road, Hainesville; and Woodview School, 340 Alleghany Road, Grayslake. Avon School Meet and Greet will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25, 1617 Route 83, Round Lake Beach. Parents and incoming kindergartners only should attend their home school to meet kindergarten teachers, tour the school, and pick up registration information. After the Meet and Greet, registration materials should be completed and submitted at Kindergarten Registration Night to register their child from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 2 at Frederick School, 565 Frederick Road. Families who cannot attend the Meet and Greet may pick up registration materials from any school office after Feb. 24. Families who complete registration by April 10 will be included in their school’s lottery, if necessary. Performance: Woodland Intermediate School’s Drama Club will present Disney’s “Peter Pan, Jr.” at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 and 20 at the school, 1115 N. Hunt Club. It is based on the play by J.M. Barrie an the 1953 Disney film and is the story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up and the girl who has to. The play features approximately 40 cast members and 11 crew members led by April Cooksey and Andrea Little. Admission is $5 and free for children age 12 and under. Details, (847) 596-5900.

Scholarship: Waukegan AMVETS Post 35 is offering a renewable $1,000 scholarship. The general scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior. Lincolnshire
Competition: The Science Bowl Team from Daniel Wright Junior High School competed with nine other middle-school teams and captured the championship at the 2015 Regional Science Bowl Competition at Argonne National Laboratory, recently. This is the 2nd consecutive year the school’s Science Bowl Team took the regional crown at Argonne Lab to advance to the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. This is the 4th time in 5 years a team from Daniel Wright will be part of the National Science Bowl competition.
Mundelein
Concert: Mundelein High School’s Choral Music Department will present its Winter Choral Concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at 1350 W. Hawley St. The concert is free but donations will be accepted. The concert will feature all departmental choirs singing mostly classical works along with demonstrations of the competitive show choirs Sound, Lights and SoundFX. Special guests for this performance will be the West Oak Middle School’s Boys Choir. In addition, All-State musicians, Angela Peterson and Heather Pechtl, will be honored. Registration: Kindergarten registration for Mundelein School District 75 will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 24 at Washington School, 122 S. Garfield Ave. District 75 offers only full-day kindergarten. The fee for that program is $86.50 per child. Parents may pay by check or credit card. College night: Members of the Mundelein High School Guidance Department will host a College Planning Night, in both English and Spanish, at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at 1350 W.
