Teen workshop: Teens can learn the basics of handling their money and finances at 4 p.m. March 25. The workshop will give teens the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to manage their finances. Teens will prepare a personal spending plan and identifying ways to decrease spending and increase income. This course is provided by the FDIC. Registration requested.

Latin culture: Take your family on a tour through Latin America at 2 p.m. March 22. Explore how song, dance, geography, culture and customs influence the music of Central and South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Enjoy the different music and dance styles of these regions during this lively show that uses flags and traditional instruments. It will be an entertaining experience for young and old alike. Portrayal: Actress and storyteller Betsey Means of WomanLore will introduce us to Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts, at 7 p.m. March 24. Hear the fascinating account of this pioneer woman who formed the first American Girl Guide Group in Savannah, Ga., during the early 1900s. Registration required.

D-Day presentation: Author, veteran, and battlefield historian Robert Mueller paints the picture of Omaha Beach on D-Day with photographs, maps, and the story of the men who landed that terrible day at Normandy at 12:30 p.m. March 24. Yellowstone: Kids in grades 4-5 can learn about the habitats and animals of Yellowstone National Park during this fun-filled evening at 7 p.m. March 24. Registration required.

Online research: Learn how to find historical news, primary source articles, obituaries, and articles from popular or scientific journals at 1 p.m. March 25. Internet experience required. Registration required.

National Waffle Day: Celebrate National Waffle Day with Sunset Foods by learning how to turn your favorite breakfast food into something yummy for lunch and dinner March 25, at 4:30 p.m. for grades 3-5, and at 6:30 p.m. for grades 6-12. Registration required.

Performance: The Great Scott Comedy and Illusion Show will be performed at 1 p.m. March 23. Get ready to be amazed. Everyone will be mesmerized by this show’s broad mix of genuine laughs, surprising magic, and maybe a floating child.

Home School Expo: Students will present a project to peers, family, and friends at 6:30 p.m. March 23. Display a craft or artwork, play an instrument, give a speech, or demonstrate a special skill. Everyone is welcome to support our local home-school students by attending. Students, register to present.

Camping: Scaredy Squirrel never goes camping. Setting up camp is too much trouble and there are scary creatures in the forest. Help Scaredy prepare for his trip by helping him see that some things are worth the trouble at 1 p.m. March 24. Scaredy Squirrel will be available for pictures following the program.

Animation station: Kids in grades 5-12 can learn to use Plotagon, a new app, to write a story, choose characters, and make a creation come to life in an animated video at 1 p.m. March 24. Registration requested.

Bilingual children: Kids can learn another language in this interactive story time, by playing, creating, and exploring at 6 p.m. March 24.

Movie: Bring a snack and enjoy the adventures of Hiro Hamada and Baymax in “Big Hero 6” at 1 p.m. March 25.

Chess night: Everyone is invited to play the world’s oldest war game and meet new people at 6:30 p.m. March 25. Chess sets provided or bring your own.
