Fundraiser: Saint Peter School will host its 23rd annual Auctioneer’s Night beginning at 5:30 p.m. April 18 at the school, 900 St. Peter St. This not-for-profit event is one of the largest fundraisers for the school and the proceeds from the night are used to enable St. Peter School to continue to deliver excellence in education. This year’s theme is “Let’s Make a Deal,” complete with a wonderful dinner, fantastic decorations and plenty of fun. Both a live and a silent auction will be held. Fundraiser: The Woodland Educational Foundation’s 7th annual benefit auction, Woodland Wishes, will feature a new twist this year with a Casino Night event at 7 p.m. April 18 at the Hunt Club Community Center, 920 N. Hunt Club Road. Free babysitting will be available for children ages 5 to 12. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of items including baskets, gift certificates, trips, authentic sports memorabilia as well as items donated by staff and students from the schools. Proceeds from the auction are used to support requests from Woodland staff to fund innovative projects, technology and increased opportunities with the arts, science, and extracurricular activities. Fundraiser: Online bidding in April for silent auction items is just one way of participating in the 42nd annual Congé fundraiser, Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart’s largest campaign to support ongoing academic and student financial aid programs. Congé is derived from the French word for “play date.” In addition, an opportunity to go “behind the scenes” with WGN-TV’s Larry Potash, exciting travel packages and gift cards from a variety of dining establishments also are included among the wide range of silent auction items available for online bidding from 9 a.m. April 17 through 10 p.m. April 25.
