“While home is the most comfortable place to be, there are times when home is not safe,” says Dr. Diane Homan.
After visiting many facilities, Homan helped a friend choose Sunnymere in Aurora. “The more than 7-acre community overlooks Phillips Park Golf Course and provides an affordable, well-maintained environment with many of the comforts of home,” she says. “There are daily activities: exercise sessions, games, and nondenominational devotions.”
Shortly after moving her friend to Sunnymere, Homan moved her mother to the community too. “(Mom) felt comforted to be in such a warm environment with caring people,” Homan says. “Sunnymere is an often overlooked gem in Aurora, and is a home away from home. We have already made plans on moving to Sunnymere.”
