Fundraiser: PM&L Theatre will host an organized Zombie Shuffle, to raise funds for remodeling the newly acquired building next door, from noon to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16. Participants can dress up like zombies, shuffle around and enjoy the village’s offerings while contributing to the arts on Main Street. The shuffle will be a mile long and will take place in historical downtown. Activities will start at the House of Macabre, 882 Anita Ave., from noon to 2 p.m. The shuffle will be from 2 to 3 p.m. When the shuffle concludes at PM&L, 877 Main St., participants will receive a souvenir ball cap, a zombie decal and a free raffle ticket. Mature zombie participants will also receive free admission for “Fast Zombies with Guns,” an independent film to be presented at PM&L. Fest: Beach Park Fest will be held from 9 to 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at Founders Park, 10385 Beach Road. It will include the annual car show organized by North Shore Rods, Inc. Festival: Summer Fair and Carnival will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. Aug. 13, from 4 p.m. to midnight Aug. 14, from noon to midnight Aug. 15, and from noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at 38-Acre Park, 2700 9th St. There will be carnival rides, games, food, entertainment, fireworks and more. The A&A Attractions carnival will feature rides, along with a variety of food booths, carnival games and blow-up slides. Unlimited ride specials will be available on Thursday night from 6-10 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The unlimited rides special is only $20 per person on each day.
