
Here is a look at what some Southlanders have achieved in college, according to releases from the schools:
Bethel University
Emily Ratliff, of Beecher and Crete, was among the students who graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn., after the spring 2015 semester.
Ratliff, who earned a bachelor of the arts in youth ministry, is the daughter of Rick and Patti Shepard, of Beecher, and Shane and Jackie Ratliff, of Crete.
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse
Morgan McDougall, of Mokena, was among the students who completed degree requirements at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in May. McDougall earned a master of science in recreation management.
University of Wisconsin-Stout
Southlanders who received the chancellor’s award for the spring 2015 semester from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie included:
*Engineering technology major Iyenoma Ogbomoh, of Country Club Hills.
*Dietetics major Katherine Whited, of Homewood.
*Game design and development art major Mitchel Clayton and packaging major Jake Schwer. Both students are from Orland Park.
The award is presented to students who have a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
Marquette University
Southlanders from the following towns were among about 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students who received their diplomas from Marquette University in Milwaukee in May:
*Alsip: Steven Daddona, who earned a bachelor of arts in criminology and law studies; Daniel Paulmeyer, who earned a bachelor of arts in public relations; Wadee Rafati, who earned a bachelor of science in civil engineering; and Karlie Ruane, who earned a bachelor of arts in corporate communication.
*Burbank: Nicole Sedlacek, who earned a bachelor of arts in corporate communication.

*Mokena: Joseph Jermolowicz, who earned a bachelor of science in clinical laboratory science; Rosemary Quinn, who earned a bachelor of science in nursing; and Margaret Wojtulewicz, who earned a bachelor of arts in history.
