Columnist Kristen McQueary clearly has some strong feelings about Chicago and Illinois. While I don’t always agree with her prescription for solving our various problems, I do appreciate her intense interest. However, that intensity is in overdrive in McQueary’s most recent column. Wishing for a metaphorical Katrina to hit Chicago is beyond poor taste. It is offensive and not at all what we’ve come to expect from the Chicago Tribune.
