Have you noticed that all the commenters defending Gov. Bruce Rauner and picking on union supporters are all from affluent suburbs? It goes to show you that the rich stick together. Another one is the commenter who picks on the Clintons, saying people should pick on them because the Clintons are just as rich as the Rauners. Well, I hate to say it, but the Clintons are not trying to break the middle class or the working class or the labor unions. All you well-to-do people who are all out for Rauner, good for you, but I will continue to say what I want about Rauner.

I’m tired of Chicago aldermen telling us how we should raise our children. They want to put this tax on soda pop to try to reduce how much children drink. The city has much bigger problems with gangs and street violence than it does with sugar consumption by kids. So aldermen, forget about telling us how we should raise ours. When you start paying my bills, you can tell me how to raise my child.

Hey, Orland Hills, do you think you could make traffic flow a little bit better at a major intersection? How about readjusting the traffic signals at 171st Street and 94th Avenue so the people on 94th Avenue can actually move when there’s no traffic on 171st? Let’s be a little proactive there. Thank you.

While many teachers across the state are paying 9.4 percent of their salary toward their pensions, it has recently come to light that Chicago teachers are paying only 2 percent of the their pension contribution with the city taxpayers picking up the difference. That’s quite a deal.

I have never missed a chance to vote in my life. I’ve voted in every election, although when there are candidates I cannot support I leave that part of the ballot empty. I did not vote for Pat Quinn because he was useless as a governor. I did not vote for Bruce Rauner because I knew what kind of a person he is and disagree with his outlook. Quinn did not get the support of the Democratic Party, whose state chairman, House Speaker Michael Madigan, didn’t do a thing for him.

Now that Chicago Tribune sports columnist Steve Rosenbloom, or should I say Steve Benedict Arnold, has been bum rapping all the Chicago Bears defensive players and the defensive coaches, I hope he chokes on his words when the real football season starts. Steve, remember this, exhibition games don’t count. Columnists like you are a dime a dozen. The Bears fans sure don’t want and need a Monday morning quarterback like you around.

To all the commenters complaining about the other commenters: You should realize that Speak Out is a place for people to express their opinions. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter whether you agree with it or not. Attacking someone for their opinion is not right. I think everybody should just read the comments, keep their opinions to themselves and go on with their lives. Thank you very much.

I think it’s time for the Chicago White Sox to get rid of pitcher John Danks. It won’t be easy, but see what you can get for him in the trade market because he isn’t helping the team. He has one or two good games, then four or five bad games. I think it’s time for him to move on.

In reference to Lori from Oak Lawn and a recent Speak Out: Why is it that everybody in Oak Lawn seems to be against Gov. Bruce Rauner? If you look at it, House Speaker Michael Madigan is the man largely to blame for the state’s financial trouble. Why doesn’t anybody say anything about him? Oh, by the way, Rauner filed his income tax return and made it known. President Obama did also. Madigan has not and will not. Something is not right in this world. Get rid of the Democrats that are in there now.

Don’t get too excited over the news about the longevity pay for elected officials disappearing in Tinley Park. Comin’ ’round the corner is the proposal brought up in July to raise the base salaries for the very same people.
