Have we lost so much understanding of how to fix this country that the candidates entrusted to create a better America shout their requests and responses like media representatives at a news conference?
Embarrassing as it was at Wednesday’s debate that these men and woman consistently gave vague, unfulfilling answers that in all essence would never be endorsed by rational Americans, why would anyone watch this prime-time political dribble other than for strictly entertainment purposes?
This debate, which made the previous debate look like “Hamlet,” not only looked bad for the candidates, CNN and the Republican Party, it made America look like a land of narcissists and nincompoops.
Where were the discussions about creating jobs? Where were the moments of meaningful verbiage about gun control? Have any of these candidates ever heard of global warming, an issue that will eventually cancel out all the other issues in less time than most people think?
Get to the pertinent issues or get off the stage.
