I read Jeanne Ives’ comments on Rebecca Cohen’s piece about why she chose an abortion when the child she carried had no chance to live, and Ives’ explanation of why she made a different choice. The women were in the same position but made different choices.
Aren’t we blessed to live in a country where people can make the choices that are best for them? If only members of the fundamentalist right wing would stop trying to impose their ideas of what is morally right on everyone.
Despite what they seem to think, they do not have a direct line to the almighty.
