Chicago Public Schools are in a heap of trouble. The former CEO, Barbara Byrd-Bennett, has pleaded guilty to corruption and bribery charges. The unions won’t budge on salary or benefit demands while also fighting against charter schools and school choice. The politicians aren’t lifting a finger to help resolve the the issue. Oh, and as long as the state budget impasse continues, CPS is at least $500 million dollars short in the budget.
And some say CPS isn’t teaching our kids anything.
