About 9:20 p.m.: A man opened fire with a semi-automatic weapon on Carillon, a crowded cafe-bar in the trendy Canal Saint-Martin area of eastern Paris.

He then crossed the road and targeted diners sitting on the terrace of Le Petit Cambodge, a small restaurant serving Cambodian and Vietnamese food.

Police said 15 were killed and 10 injured.

Hundreds of shell casings were found, police said.
