Chicago police are asking for the public’s help to find the person behind the wheel of an SUV that killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident in the Gresham neighborhood in December.
The accident happened on Dec. 28 at 6:54 pm. as the 55-year-old man was walking across the 7600 block of South Racine Avenue.
Linnes Walker, of the 7500 block of of South Racine Avenue, was pronounced dead on Dec. 30 at 1:55 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
On Wednesday police released a photo of the vehicle suspected in the accident. It is a blue, full-size SUV possibly a Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon.
The vehicle was seen traveling east on 76th Street from Racine Avenue, police said.
