I recently read in the Southtown where 19 states have “recall laws” for all their elected public officials. This includes Illinois, but with ours only the governor can be voted out. I wonder why we’re different ? Could it be that Madigan wanted his huge Democratic political machine and their all-too- frequent criminal investigations and indictments against them and “lily-white?”

I am a senior, as many are. It seems a shame the state of Illinois cannot afford a simple postcard notice as a reminder once a year for license plate sticker renewal. Now, if we forget, as many of us do, we are punished with a violation ticket. Help me to figure out the reason behind this. Another reason to get taxpayer money, Illinois? Isn’t this going too far?

Channel 11 did a show on the South Side of Chicago. They started in the Chinatown neighborhood, ending in the Beverly community. I guess the Mount Greenwood community doesn’t count. We’ve always been the ugly stepchild.

To the commenter from Chicago Heights: My statement that all the stupid voters were already voting Republican was in rebuttal to someone’s previous statement that all the Democratic voters were stupid. I stopped voting Republican with former President George W. Bush. The real problem is gerrymandering, where voters do not count. While Illinois is gerrymandered Democrat, the other states that are gerrymandered Republican are the norm in our country. Our courts are 5-4 Republican-partisan. We have 65 vacancies in federal court judges because Republicans are stonewalling President Obama. Maybe our real problem is government being run by radicals on one side and liberals on the other side. The moderates in the middle are being outvoted by these radical views.

In the sad case of Laquan McDonald’s shooting, I view Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s actions as a man with an insatiable desire for power, which means control, which leads to lies, which leads to corruption and cover-ups. It then becomes an all-consuming, uncontrolled addiction. It appears evident that Mayor Emanuel has not gotten the message and has no intentions of resigning, so the only way to stop this type of power government is to bring transparency to Chicago through a recall election. Chicago deserves better. When the time comes, the citizens of Chicago need to get out and vote.

Now that the deserter serviceman Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been officially charged with desertion and other serious charges that will put him behind bars for the rest of his life in prison, why hasn’t our poor excuse for a president been thrown out of the presidency for trading this deserter for five dangerous enemy Taliban commanders? Barack Obama has been the most incompetent president in the entire history of the United States of America. He has almost destroyed our military, our economy and our home borders security. Throw this poor excuse for a president out of the White House as soon as possible before he destroys the entire United States of America.

I still don’t get the reasoning behind having 17-year-olds who will be age 18 by Election Day in Illinois vote in the primary elections and caucuses. They don’t have life experience yet. Put the voting age back to 21.

What’s wrong with these people who are protesting Laquan McDonald’s shooting, marching and not letting people into the store? Isn’t that against the law? They should be arrested, every one of them. Look at the money we could collect for the city of Chicago. These protesters should be in church praying and asking forgiveness.
