I don’t think people grasp the concept of no texting while driving. That means not even at a stoplight or stop sign. If you’re that stupid that you think that it’s acceptable still to text while you’re at a red light or a stop sign, you’re sadly mistaken. One day when you’re texting and not paying attention, you’re going to cause an accident or somebody’s going to hit you because you’re not paying attention. Also, let me tell you that the police can find out if you’ve texted. Even if you were the one hit and you weren’t paying attention, you’re still help responsible for texting, and driving and trying not to avoid an accident. So put down the phone.

When singer Taylor Swift was on the Grammys and accepting her award for Album of the Year for “1989,” she stated not to be afraid to stand up for your success and not let someone else take the credit. Well, do you remember when President Obama stated not too long ago that if you are successful, you didn’t do it by yourself and someone helped you become successful? Which one do you believe? I’m just curious.

What has happened to femininity. It seems to be something of the distant past. All you see now are women covered in tattoos and swearing like guys. Do they want to be longshoremen? To see women who have no place inside a pair of sweatpants parading around oblivious to those subjected to the sight is disconcerting. Finally, with all the evidence regarding the dangers of smoking, not to say the oppressive odor, still they puff away with abandon. It’s sad but true — femininity seems to have all but faded away, sadly.

I just heard some more ridiculous stuff about Illinois pensions. I heard former Chicago Transit Authority executives got a sweetheart deal to where they can begin collecting lucrative pensions in their late 40s or early 50s while receiving paychecks from other government jobs. Now, is anybody looking at these executives in the CTA, all over in the Chicago Park District and all the government agencies? Why are they always picking on the little hourly workers, wanting us to pay more for their corrupt baloney?

I cannot believe that right fielder Jason Heyward, of the Chicago Cubs, is sucking up a salary of $184 million over eight years. How disgraceful and how stupid are the fans in Wrigley Field? That’s one player. Your pop, popcorn and ticket will be $250 for a seat. The players don’t care. It’s nice sitting at home doing what I need to do. There’s no cost to me but a TV.

My friends and I were wondering why there are so many signs for House Speaker Michael Madigan, who’s running for re-election as the state representative from the 22nd District, and absolutely no opponent signs whatsoever. Then we read the newspaper and discovered there were invisible opponents, not campaigning. Is this the rich against the poor or communism? We are really puzzled. At least Jesus “Chuy” Garcia tried to campaign against Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, but Chuy didn’t have enough money. It’s too bad.

I’m sorry, but it’s my opinion that children who attend preschool and kindergarten are smarter than the teachers who are teaching them in grade school. Maybe the students should go out on strike and ask for better teachers instead of the teachers asking for better money. I think that would be a better idea for everyone, students and parents.

Christians demand the utmost respect from atheists, but reciprocate absolutely nothing.

Has Gov. Rauner been attending the Trump School of Public Comments? I guess the buck stops everywhere but with him.
