I cannot understand why the people, business leaders, political scientists and the newspapers do not, with great urgency, rally behind Gov. Bruce Rauner to lead us out of the financial mess his predecessors and General Assembly leaders have brought upon this state? What are we all waiting for?
Surely, there can be no trust remaining with the current General Assembly leadership. They will never solve the problem they created and yet they are treated with credence by the media and others when they should held accountable by their constituents and voted out of office.
It’s time for action, not politics as usual. Get rid of the architects of dismal failure that have made this once-great state of Illinois the laughingstock of the nation. Enough is enough.
