Humane Society holding ‘Pittie Party’
The Naperville Area Humane Society is holding its second annual “Pittie Party” this month to help break negative stereotypes about pit bulls.
Anyone who adopts a pit bull-type dog from the humane society in April will receive a Welcome Home basket with a food sample, leash, toy, a Red Dingo card for an ID tag and the book, “I’m a Good Dog,” by Ken Foster. The humane society has also partnered with the Bickell Foundation to give away autographed Bryan Bickell Blackhawks memorabilia.
An online “Pittie Party” encourages dog lovers to post pictures of their pit bulls on the humane society’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
