Bass tournament: The Everglades Bassmasters of South Florida has the One Largemouth Bass Tourney, Father’s Day Edition, June 19 at Everglades Holiday Park. Fishing is 7 a.m. to noon. Sign-up starts at 6 a.m. at the ramp. Entry fee is $20 per person for as many anglers as your boat is Coast Guard-certified for. There is no charge for one angler under the age of 12 per boat. Kayak tournament: The Extreme Kayak Fishing Summer Slam Part 1 is June 18 off Pompano Beach. Late entry fee is $175. Visit extremekayakfishingtournament.org. UM tournament: University of Miami football greats Alonzo Highsmith and Melvin Bratton host the sixth annual Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys/University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame Celebrity Fishing Tournament June 25 at Founders Park in Islamorada. Anglers can fish offshore and inshore with former Hurricanes sports stars. The kickoff party is June 24. Following the weigh-in, there is an awards dinner and auctions featuring sports memorabilia, fishing tackle, trips and artwork. A portion of the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys, The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, Coastal Conservation Association and the UMSHoF. Snakehead tournament: JD’s Custom Baits has its next Snakehead Round-Up from safe light to 2 p.m. June 25 out of Veterans Memorial Park, 7044 NW First St., Margate. Entry fee is $40 cash per person or two-angler team and $10 for the big fish pot. Anglers must bring in five snakeheads for their biggest one to count.
