Power was restored after a brief storm knocked out power for between 200 and 700 Commonewealth Edison customers in north Evanston, officials said Thursday.

The storm resulted in several trees down at 2213 Payne St., as well as at Isabella Street and Girard Avenue, affecting power lines, officials reported.

Businesses on the south side of Noyes Street, as well as the Chandler-Newberger Center at 1028 Central St., and Fire Station 3, at 1105 Central St., were temporarily affected.

As of 2:50 p.m., power had been restored, the city reported.
