A 26-year-old man was in critical condition Friday following a morning crash in Crestwood, police said.
The man was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle turning left at about 7:50 a.m. at Cicero Avenue and Midlothian Turnpike, when it was struck on the side by another vehicle, police said. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
“We’re not sure if he’s going to make it or not,” Crestwood police Sgt. Dino Pavoni said Friday afternoon.
Drivers of both cars also were treated at area hospitals and released following the crash, police said.
The identities of those involved in the crash were being withheld Friday pending notification of families, police said. The man in critical condition is from the south suburbs.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges had been filed by Friday afternoon.
