Round gobies swim among the algae covered rock in the nooks and crannies of Morgan Shoal July 18, 2016, on Lake Michigan in Chicago. The round goby, invasive in the Great Lakes and common in Morgan Shoal, has almost eliminated the mottled sculpin over the past 15 years.  But they are a plentiful source of food for bigger fish such as largemouth bass.
