Worry about yourself: For some reason, a lot of people out there are worried about what other people are doing, what they own and how they got it. They are worried about men marrying men and women marrying women. They are saying this is against God. Have you looked in the mirror lately? You never did anything against God? Don’t worry about people marrying whomever they want to marry. If they did something against God, God will judge them. Remember, God said vengeance is mine. Just live righteously and let God do his thing.
Comparing east and west sides: I was driving through Aurora. I was wondering why the east side has so many empty buildings that look like heck, while the west side has buildings either removed or redone. The only thing good on the east side is the old St. Charles Hospital being renovated into a senior citizen living establishment. And here’s to all you smokers in your cars with your windows down and flipping your ashes. We don’t appreciate it, especially if the ashes fly into our cars. Put your cigarette in your car where it belongs or don’t smoke.
Keep tax levy frozen: So Kane County is facing a $5.6 million budget gap and wants to unfreeze the tax levy. If the state of Illinois, namely Michael Madigan and our governor, would get to a decision and start paying the bills, maybe we wouldn’t have to undo the tax levy. And maybe if Kane County stopped paying everyone for all these little perks under the table, we wouldn’t have a budget that’s all messed up. I think people need to start realizing what the real world is, and the freebies have to quit.
Keen on sharing magazines: I belong to many animal organizations. I have so many nice magazines from them. I’m wondering where I could put them so other people can read them after I read them. I wish I knew what to do with them.
Need to apologize: I think that Donald Trump should stop calling people liars because he is the biggest liar. He asked Russian leader Putin to try and get Hillary Clinton’s lost emails, but now he’s saying he was just being sarcastic. The man just doesn’t know how to apologize. He would get my vote if he would just apologize for one thing he did. Everyone makes mistakes. He doesn’t want to be seen as a person who ever makes mistakes, which tells me he likes to dictate. I was leaning toward voting for Trump, but he can never get my vote now.
Trump built his empire: This is about Hillary Clinton versus Donald Trump. Everyone is saying Trump is so rich, but he built his empire. Hillary made her money by writing books and giving talks. She probably has more money than Trump. What do they call her? Crooked Hillary. If people vote for her, they haven’t done their homework.
Concern about conservatives: I would like to say to all the people to the right who are angry with Bradley Cooper about “American Sniper” and that he is in the Democratic National Convention, here’s a news flash. Like Donald Trump, he’s an actor. For a party that is supposed to be made up of conservatives, they sure like to kill.
Foundation under investigation: I see the Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton Foundation for the books they wrote is under scrutiny by the Internal Revenue Service. Wow, I think they should just let them go. They let them go for everything else. It’s America.
Playoffs prediction: I want to comment on the caller who said the Chicago Cubs will fade away and won’t be contenders. They will make the playoffs, and they probably will win the division. Miami will win the World Series. Trust me.
Roused about refugees: Like the gal on Fox News said this morning, if farmers knew one egg out of every dozen was bad, they would stop selling the eggs immediately for the public’s health. Why is President Obama determined on letting thousands of Muslim refugees into our country when we cannot properly check them? We know ISIS will lie in order to get in. I am a Christian and want to help these people, but keep them in the Middle East and send money over there. That’s their home. If Hillary Clinton gets elected, we will get even more. Donald Trump is right. It should be Americans first when it comes to our safety.
Keep our country safe: I think Donald Trump is picked on way too much. At the Democratic National Convention, a person said Trump never sacrificed for our country. Neither did former President Bill Clinton, who was a draft dodger. I bet a lot of senators also fit that description. They are making way too much of Trump for trying to protect us by keeping unvetted Muslims out of the country. A president’s first job is to keep our country safe.
Kudos for stories about towns and fair: Thank you for including articles about Hampshire and Burlington in your newspaper. We also appreciated your coverage of the Kane County Fair. We like the stories and pictures of the 4H members and their 4H projects. It was nice that they received recognition for their hard work. Keep up the good work with your newspaper.
Just doesn’t get it: I was reading a Speak Out about why don’t Black Lives Matter protest in gang neighborhoods where black gang members are killing blacks. I would like to say here’s a person again who just doesn’t get it.
