To the commenter from Bridgeview: Don’t be so sure Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s going to get in. He can’t get all the Republicans behind him. Now that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has a strong candidate for vice president in Tim Kaine, a lot of people are going to vote because he’s good in defense. The Republican National Convention was a joke. Trump had his kids who are big-game hunters who harm harmless animals. His wife, Melania, can’t make her own speech. One plus was that she wore clothes. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. The election’s not over. There’s a lot of people I know who are voting for Hillary. We’ll see what happens.

It’s about time the voters and the taxpayers have a say in electing these politicians in Springfield. If they’ve been in there 10 years, they’ve been in too long. They don’t listen. They don’t care. They’re far overpaid. They have benefits that nobody ought to know about. If they’re in there 10 years, next election vote them out of office. It’s about time that the taxpayers and the voters have a full say in this election. They’re overpaid. They do nothing for anybody any longer.

I’m a concerned citizen. I would’ve had more respect for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump if his camp would’ve acknowledged they stole first lady Michelle Obama’s speech for his wife, Melania. Instead, they lied, when the speech was word for word what Obama said in 2008. Is this what you’re going to do — lie when we know you’re lying? You lost my vote with your childish ways. I’d rather hear ways you’re going to make America great than picking on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Republicans spent $7 million trying to put her in jail. It’s not going to happen. Let’s see how you will make America great so people can make a decision. Quit bickering. Get on with this campaign.
Is Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump kidding? Does he think we’re stupid? He’s not the superhero Superman. There’s only one supreme being. He’s saying he’s the only one who can fix everything. He’s making phony pledges. I’m sure some people believe it, but he shouldn’t make promises he doesn’t know how he’s going to fulfill. If it was that easy, other people would have done those things already. Trump and his buddy, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence who’s running for vice president, will have women in the 1950s getting back-alley abortions. Trump will be walking around with a red cape. I wasn’t sure who to vote for. After the Republican National Convention, no way is this nutcase getting my vote.

Thank you, Austin Berg, for your column about the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees contract. AFSCME members have two loaves of bread under their arms and cry while middle-class America can’t carry a half loaf without feeling a pinch in the other arm and are struggling. Yet, they’re demanding pay hikes, better health care coverage and pension benefits over a new four-year contract. What put the icing on the cake is free health insurance for life after retirement. Now you see why many jobs are leaving. We can’t outsource what they’re doing, but we can stop their requests. The 800-pound gorilla in the room has been House Speaker Mike Madigan. It’s too bad we can’t outsource him.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump lied about paying with credit cards and also Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. She exonerated her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Why don’t they put somebody in there like former President Ronald Reagan’s son Ron? He’s honest. He’s forthright. He’s taught by his mother, Nancy, and father the right way. Even former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger would be a contender. They would not bully him. People should think in choosing your president and running mates. Leave somebody that does nothing. Trump fired people and lied to people he worked with to make money. You don’t need him and Hillary Clinton in politics. Give me somebody with a conscience to think it out and benefit the majority.
This is in response to the remark about listening to an AM talk radio show. At least they got it right about President Barack Obama being the greatest president in the history of this country, so hopefully he’ll keep listening to AM radio because that is a true remark.
State Rep. Ron Sandack resigned from the state position because he says politics has gotten too dirty and unreasonable. When you’ve got somebody like Republican nominee Donald Trump running for president, that proves that politics has gone too far. It seems like all they want to do is bum rap each other, and that’s how they’re supposed to tell us they’re going to rule by calling the other person a cheat instead of saying what their real plans are to do anything.
I had a horrible nightmare the other night. The presidential election was held and one of the candidates won.

Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, House Speaker Mikey Madigan, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the entire Democratic Party in America will see Illinois in the win column for Republican nominee Donald Trump. This is going to happen. Mikey and Rahm’s future in Chicago and Illinois will be coming to an end. Then Chicago and Illinois will be great again, just like the rest of America under President Trump. P.S., Hillary Clinton, did you forget that Donald Trump won Illinois? He’ll win big again in November. You could guarantee that and you could take it to the bank.
