To Republican haters of President Barack Obama who complain about what he hasn’t done: I wonder where your head was when the U.S. House and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked everything our president tried to do. Obama came up with good ideas that were automatically shut down, just like his appointment of Merrick Garland, a moderate, to the U.S. Supreme Court, isn’t being looked at. It’s being laughed about by McConnell. You want to blame Obama for things the House under Republican control have done? If you don’t stop trying to promote it, you’ll only show your ignorance. I guess living in Chicago’s Hegewisch community all your life with air pollution from factories probably affected your brain, John.

I think Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is missing an opportunity of a lifetime. Now that she’s been accused of being a terrorist about lying, I think perhaps instead of president of the United States, if it were possible, we could have president of the Used Car Association because we all know how used car salesmen speak. “How are the brakes?” Answer: “Oh, they’re perfect.” Two weeks later you’re having them done. But not all of the car dealers are like that so Hillary would have the other ones. They exaggerate the damage to an extent. Well, good luck, Hillary. I’m sure you and your husband, former President Bill Clinton, will have a fine relationship with the used car business.

After watching the Republican National Convention and then watching the Democratic National Convention, there’s absolutely no comparison. Any Republican should hang his head in shame and be embarrassed to call Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump his candidate.

That is a new one, Hillary who is supposed to be a highly educated woman, blaming Colin Powell for using her private account. If someone told her to jump off the Empire State Building, would she?

A Monee commenter in Speak Out gave this advice to all Democrats. If you want and are content to getting everything free, you must vote for Hillary. There’s the liberal mentality. They actually believe this. They believe Hillary actually cares about them, not their vote. If however, you’re sick of the government telling you when, where and what to do; and if you’re a self-reliant worker who cares about yourself, family and the prosperity for our country, you should vote for Trump.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Donald Trump to make America great again when he gets elected president, because you will surely die of asphyxiation. Why? Because if Trump really intended to restore outsourced manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., he’d have already started with his own companies. While Trump’s brand of men’s clothes, furniture and other products are being manufactured in at least 12 foreign countries, there are high quality companies capable of manufacturing these products right here in America. So why hasn’t Trump started moving his own manufacturing jobs back to American soil? My mother always taught me that actions speak louder than words and show a person’s true character. And Trump has shown us nothing except a whole lot of loud, empty talk.

Oh how I wish that I could enjoy an eight-year vacation, like the current sitting president, at taxpayers’ expense.
