Sara, in defending Emily you ignore the differences between fact and opinion. Opinion: I don’t like Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s wife, Melania, because she’s beautiful. Fact: She’s an intelligent, well-educated woman that speaks five languages. Opinion: I don’t like Gov. Bruce Rauner just because. Fact: House Speaker Michael Madigan and the Democrats have been ruling and controlling Illinois for over 30 years. Maybe that’s why we’re in the tank financially. Collecting facts and opinions and separating them are something everybody does. It’s not an attack. Another assumption you incorrectly made, in typical Democrat fashion, is that the Orland Park commenter is a man picking on the so-called weaker sex. There are strong, intelligent women who consider Hillary a disgrace.

Orland Park

To the residents of Tinley Park: You fought the Wal-Mart in south Tinley because you were worried about the traffic, so you have no commercial development there. You fought the apartment buildings on Oak Park Avenue. Now it’s cost the village over $100,000 to fight that. Sooner or later you’re all going to realize that it’s ridiculous, the amount of fighting that the residents are doing. It’s costing the town nothing but money. Also, have you been to Oak Park? There’s nothing really to brag about so I, for one, have moved out of Tinley Park to the Town of Frankfort that cares about us residents and wants to spawn economic development.

More from a concerned American citizen: Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton should’ve gone to jail for not only the four Americans killed in Benghazi, Libya, but for what she did with her emails and the private server. How you the press let Democrats in Chicago get away things, we’ll never know. We all were Democrats from Chicago. We’re all seniors that are smarter. Only young punks are screwing up what’s going on. If a third party’s candidate is running, we’ll vote for him. Hillary’s definitely out. We were going to take former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, but that turncoat’s out. U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk’s out of it completely. He’s definitely a Democrat. We’re disgusted with everything that goes on.

People say that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tells it like it is. I wonder what they’re thinking. This is a guy that praises President Vladimir Putin in Russia. Trump says former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was a strong leader. This is what they like about Trump? Have we gone out of our minds completely to even let this guy run for president or be anywhere near running for president? You’ve got to be kidding.

Residents in Hazel Crest once again had a good time at Hazel Crest Festival. The fest was fun for the children and had top-of-the-line entertainment. There were no incidents. In this day and time, this is worth stating. Good luck, Hazel Crest, and continue to keep looking toward the future. This is a good community, but let’s strive to make it better. I still see young men with their pants beneath their waist and playing loud music containing curse words at the BP station at 175th Street and Kedzie Avenue. Take pride in yourself and your community.

I’m a concerned citizen. There’s some things I couldn’t get over at the Republican National Convention. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s older son, Donald Jr., gave his speech. This big game hunter gets thrills from killing harmless animals and keeping their carcasses for trophies. He has no value for animals’ lives. Former Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie, who’s done questionable things as New Jersey governor, riled the crowd to get Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. He was bucking for the U.S. attorney general job because the loser got passed over for vice president. Also, I thought we were going to hear how to make America great. All we heard was 101 ways to bash Hillary. Republicans, can’t you do better?

This is for Burbank Police Chief Rick Shore: The mayor put sidewalks in many, many years ago so you do not have to walk in the street. It’s against the law if you block sidewalks in Burbank. How come every night from 80th to 79th Street, between Austin and Narragansett avenues, you’ve got to walk in the street because the sidewalks are always blocked by the same cars? Come on. Do your job. It ain’t that hard to write a parking ticket.
