The Illinois Supreme Court, in a strict party line vote, struck down yet another attempt to let the people of Illinois decide if the redrawing of legislative districts should be taken out of the hands of the politicians (i.e. House Speaker Mike Madigan) and done in a less partisan manner. Madigan is, of course, the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Illinois, proving yet again that in Illinois, the people definitely do not rule.
