The Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza in Merrillville could finally take down the “Now hiring” on the outside marquee. No, wait a minute. It should say, “Now hiring for demolition crew.”

I know what the Republicans need. They need to get a ventriloquist for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Allow him just to move his mouth but the ventriloquist to say the actual words.

I loved watching the Olympics. I was ever glad that I had a digital video recorder so that I could record them and I could fast-forward all those obnoxious commercials. Sorry, NBC.

I saw three Porter County sheriff’s officers leave the Subway on U.S. 6 near South Haven. Not one of them used a turn signal.

I’m going to have to go along with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump when he said this government’s rigged. As the saying goes, “Politics is dirty business,” like what they did to Sue Ellspermann when she was lieutenant governor. They got rid of her and put Eric Holcomb in there.

If you live by the farm there will be smells. If you live by the airport there will be noise. If you live by the lake or the river there will be dry seasons or flooding. Do your homework. Don’t blame other people and don’t ask for help when you have a house like that.

How are you going to put your hands up and get on the ground at the same time without hurting yourself? They must give one order at a time. Then you’ll be able to follow their orders, not put your hands up and get on the ground.

I think it’s time we know where our local responsible politicians stand on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump with this question in mind: Would you hire Donald Trump, armed with a gun and his aggressive personality, as a police officer on the streets of your community?

It amazes me that the politicians especially in Gary are going to pay somebody to tell them that there’s asbestos in the buildings that they want to demolish. My God, anybody that lived in Gary in the 1940s and 1950s should already know that most of the buildings in Gary have asbestos.
