Season stats: Zach opened the season Aug. 26 by setting St. Charles North records with 419 passing yards and five touchdowns. He completed 21-for-24 in a 42-10 nonconference victory over Schaumburg. He finished the game with a passer rating of 149.0.
Best game: Mettetal’s five TD passes included two each to Lucas Segobiano and Griffin Hammer. He is coming off a season when he threw for 1,770 yards on 130-for-189.
Quote: “He’s as good a passer as there is in the area, and people don’t really know or respect how truly mobile he is. He’s really quick. We’re trying to highlight his ability to move and throw by moving him in the pocket,” St. Charles North coach Rob Pomazak on Mettetal.
