Police responded Tuesday to the South Side after someone apparently was holed up inside a building.
The incident started about 7:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Champlain Avenue in the city’s Park Manor neighborhood, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a spokeswoman for the Chicago police.
Officers from the SWAT, which stands for special weapons and tactics, had responded to the incident.
As of 10:30 p.m., police said the situation had ended without any injuries. No one was in custody as of Tuesday night.
