The inaugural Bakery Bucket Band offers an opportunity to practice rhythm and share in a family-friendly gathering.

The unique drum circle will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at The Depot, 319 N. River St., in East Dundee. Participants are encouraged to bring their own drums, sticks, maracas or other rhythm instruments. “Bakery buckets” will be available for $1 for those in need of a makeshift drum.

Coordinators said the purpose of a drum circle is to foster the spontaneous creation of music through drums and percussion instruments.

Water and coffee will be served. Local eateries will be open for lunch during and after the event.
