Too soon to be thinking about Christmas? Not at Naper Settlement in Naperville, which has holiday events planned starting Tuesday and continuing through Dec. 24.

Here’s what’s scheduled:

Merry & Bright: Glass Ornaments from Around the Globe Exhibit – An exhibit of European- and American-made glass Christmas ornaments will explore the history and the process of making the handcrafted decorations. The exhibit opens Tuesday, runs through Dec. 24 and will be open during Christkindlmarket hours. Admission is free. Information: www.napersettlement.org or 630-420-6010.

Weed Ladies Winter Show & Weed Ladies Holiday Floral Sales – The winter show, featuring holiday-themed floral arrangements and accessories, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 to 12 and 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 13. Floral sales will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 25 to Dec. 17. Admission to the sale is free. Information: www.napersettlement.org/weedladies or 630-305-5289.

Christkindlmarket – Experience an outdoor German holiday-season market featuring handmade ornaments and gifts, food and entertainment. Christkindlmarket will be open from Nov. 25 to Dec. 24. Market hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 18. During Christmas week, it will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 19 to 23 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 24. Admission is free. Information: www.christkindlmarket.com/naperville.

Naper Lights – The museum grounds will be lit by holiday lights, which visitors can view by strolling through the campus. Presented by the Sunrise Rotary Club of Naperville, the light display will be open Thursdays through Sundays from Nov. 25 to Dec. 24. Hours are from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 5 to 7 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free. Information: www.naperlights.com.

Martin Mitchell Mansion Holiday Tours – The mansion, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, will be decorated in the Edwardian style of the 1910s. The Naperville Garden Club will help with the decorations, and guided tours will be given Friday through Sunday from Nov. 26 to Dec. 18. Hours are from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Fridays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. From Dec. 19 to 21, hours will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. Santa @ the Settlement – Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for visits at Santa @ the Settlement from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 26, Dec. 3 and Dec. 17. Visitors will decorate cookies in Mrs. Claus’ Bakery, prepare a treat for Santa’s reindeer in the Reindeer Food Factory, make two ornaments in Santa’s Workshop, write letters to Santa, listen to Mrs. Claus read a story, and take photos with Santa. A limited supply of “magical” reindeer shoes will be available for purchase. Tickets are $13 for members, $15 for nonmembers and free for children age 1 and younger. Registration is required. History Speaks Lecture Series: Who is Mrs. Claus? December’s History Speaks Lecture Series will explore the fictional life of Mrs. Claus in a program from 7 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14 in the Century Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Claus was first revealed as a character in a book written by Katherine Lee Bates in 1899, and Mrs. Claus will be at the event to talk about her life. Recommended for ages 15 and older. Admission is $8 for adult members and $10 for adult nonmembers. Youth and students will pay $7 if they are members and $9 if they are not. Information: www.napersettlement.org or 630-420-6010.
