Chance the Rapper continues to prove that the Cubs aren’t the only much-loved Chicagoans who are having a big week.

Chance (yes, he’s still a White Sox fan) gave another nod to the city’s World Series champs when he tweeted a link to a remix, courtesy of Chicago-based duo The Hood Internet, of his hit song “No Problem” with “Go Cubs Go” during the game on Wednesday night.

And on Monday he’ll host a free rooftop concert at Virgin Hotels Chicago (203 N. Wabash) to encourage youth to vote in Tuesday’s election. The show, organized by Chance’s SocialWorks non-profit, will feature performances from Twin Peaks, Malcolm London and Chance’s younger brother, Taylor Bennett. Politics has always been a family concern — dad Ken Bennett has worked for President Obama.

“This election is very important, a chance for new leaders and new opportunities to emerge,” Chance said in a press release about Monday’s event. The rapper, along with his SocialWorks organization, will also lead voters to the nearest polling place on Tuesday.

But before we pick the next leader of the free world, we get to find out whether Chance wins Best New Artist at the Soul Train Music Awards on Sunday night.
