Kane County Sheriff spokesman Lt. Patrick Gengler said the suspect allegedly received a package through the mail. Kane County detectives, DEA agents and U.S. Postal Service investigators executed a search warrant Tuesday at a residence in the 100 block of Hamlet Court in Montgomery, according to the sheriff’s office.
The search led to the seizure of about 11 pounds of cannabis with an estimated street value of more than $46,000, along with another $3,000 in cash, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives took one person into custody: Juanpablo Ruiz, 18, of the 1900 block of Roberts Street, Aurora.
