Jam Productions co-founder Jerry Mickelson wrote Mayor Rahm Emanuel in May 2015 about a proposed effort to renovate the shuttered Uptown Theatre, which he and a partner own. Mickelson said he was working with the city’s infrastructure trust on a $90 million renovation plan and needed “at least $5 M immediately in order to pay for the renderings and cost analysis.” Mickelson was registered as a lobbyist, but did not report lobbying the mayor on that issue.
